The Darkest Hour

Acrylic on canvas

48" x 38", 2003

While the artist struggles to find her personal metaphor, the outside world screams for her attention. Television screens bring “Bombs Over Baghdad” into every home, every mind. This destruction to the cradle of civilization is immeasurable, incomprehensible. Caught between the pressures of nurturing a child, and nurturing her work, this artist is having an identity crisis.
